What are Breakfast Blends?

That one shot of good caffeine that jolts you right out of your sleepy demeanour was probably the idea behind breakfast blends. However, Breakfast Blends are no longer had with breakfast alone. English breakfast blends, which are very popular, have been around since 1843. Blends of black teas with bold flavourings from different regions is what breakfast blends are made out of. Assam tea is usually used for breakfast blends for its strong, malty flavour and a high caffeine content with teas from Sri Lanka, China, Kenya, and Malawi to complete the blend. There is no one recipe for making a breakfast blend. It is a combination of tradition, and creativity that has been put to use for a long period. The English Breakfast Blend is preferred with a shot of milk or glob of cream. It goes perfectly with a sumptuous English Breakfast.
